Molly Goddard SS16

Molly Goddard’s SS16 London Fashion Week presentation is a playful affair. Never unsuccessful in generating highly narrative performances Goddard produces a scene that exudes an childlike vibe combined with subtle undertones that we would say radiate a ‘moody teen’ atmosphere. We’re thrown back to reminisce our adolescent summertime jobs, and as Goddard bases this scene on, a job at a cold and bleak British sandwich factory. Goddard’s cast of models even goes on to rock damp hair as they make sandwiches; adding to this dreary British summertime mood. The clothes themselves are example of Goddard’s marvelous creative flair. We see her signature oversized tulle smocks making a comeback in colours of pink and neon green, while hints of tartan and large stitching transform the collection into something we totally adore. We’ve always been big fans of Goddard and we definitely haven’t stopped being after this collection. Please wrap us up in her frocks and we’ll be happy forever.
