Anna Jane by Evan Walker

Inspired by an installation by Michael Heizer called “Levitated Mass”, Evan Walker photographs Anna Jane at the LACMA. “People from all over come and visit it and get someone to take their photo while they pretend to “hold up” this huge boulder. It’s hilarious to see everyone do it just like people pretend to ‘hold up’ the Eiffel Tower – and I thought it would make an interesting image if there was a young girl standing in front of it, just like everyone else, but she wasn’t looking at it.” Playing with the various textures and architecture the LACMA has to offer, Walker and his team – Anna Jane @Wilhelmina, styling by Adrienne Burton, and hair and make up by Marina Migliaccio @The Rex Agency – created the perfectly carefree type of images we love.
