Predominately drawing elements from a British childhood, Shrimps lush AW14 collection plays with back-to-school breton striped scarves, doodles of daisies, british cartoons and the collage artwork of Eduardo Paolozzi. A newly launched faux-fur fashion label with a kitschy twist, its 24-year-old designer Hannah Weiland is hands down one to watch as she gears up to present everything fluffy at LFW next week. A graduate from London College of Fashion, the whimsical designer takes her inspiration from the witticisms of modern art and a playful engagement with pattern and texture. Truly a British brand inspired by a British childhood, Shrimps continues its love for soft and luxurious faux fur, with the new AW14 designs being named after dogs including Dulcie, Mabel, Pluto, Ivana, Daisy, and Agnes #ShrimpsDog, to name a few.
